At The Little School, we give children ages three to twelve room to roam in the classroom as well as on our spectacular 12-acres of wooded campus. We care deeply about fostering their natural enthusiasm for learning and cultivating a thoughtful, inclusive and lively community.
Teaching Assistant:
Independent school in Bellevue, serving ages 3 through 12, is searching for experienced teaching assistants. Successful candidates will have solid experience working in a school setting with ages 6 through 9. Applicants with coursework or degree in Elementary Education or Child Development, and a thorough understanding of developmentally appropriate practice will be given priority. The teaching assistant works alongside the classroom teacher, assisting with activities and supervising the class during outside time and faculty meetings. This position requires an individual who can assist with literacy and math activities and sensitively guide children through their social interactions. Hours: M,T,W,F 10:30 AM -1:15 PM and Thursdays 10:30 AM-2:00 PM. Applicants should be current in child CPR & first aid. Student Services Manager
The Little School, an independent, progressive school in Bellevue, serving children ages 3 – 12, has an opening for a Student Services Manager beginning mid-august. We seek an individual who has a background in progressive education, along with the ability to manage many tasks at once, including attending to children, parent and staff needs. This individual is responsible for student record-keeping, database management, health and safety coordination, including the administration of first-aid, school supply ordering, medication management, preparation of school enrollment packets, and other duties as assigned. This position requires the minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and previous experience working in a school setting. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Substitute Teacher
Successful candidates will have prior experience working with children ages 3-12. Commitment to anti-bias, child-sensitive approaches necessary. WA Teacher Certification and/or relevant degree in early childhood, elementary education or child development a plus. Competitive hourly rate.
