The Annual Operating Fund is the primary fundraising activity of the school year. Like all independently-financed schools, The Little School relies on contributed funds for a percentage of each years operating budget. Tuition revenues support only 80% of necessary income for classroom resources and associated operation costs. The remaining gap of approximately $2,000 per student is met through gifts to the schools fundraising programs.
Contributions to the Annual Fund support:
-
Small class sizes and a rich learning environment
-
Safe and up-to-date classroom buildings
-
Technology resources for faculty/staff and students
-
A campus which contributes to the children's learning and play environment
-
Greater parity with staff and faculty compensation
-
Financial aid resources
-
Basic operations and maintenance of the school and its programs
Current families, alumni, trustees, faculty/staff,
and friends are asked to give generously to the
Annual Fund at whatever level they are able,
recognizing that growing philanthropic support
helps slow the rising cost of tuition and allows
the school to maintain its small class sizes.
High parent participation levels also assist
in securing outside funding for the school, such as grants.
In recent years, we have received Annual Fund
contributions from 100% of our trustees and
faculty/staff members and nearly all of our current families,
affirming a strong commitment to The Little School's programs.
All gifts to the Annual Fund are fully tax-deductible.
Checks, cash, credit cards, or stock transfers are all
available methods of giving. If you are a Microsoft
employee please download and fill out a
Matching Gift Form
to receive matching dollars for your generous donation.
