Each year The Little School and our
awesome parent volunteers bring you a
fun-filled evening of food, friends,
and fundraising in our annual Little
School auction. This is a wonderful
opportunity to see fellow community
members (and their guests) at an adult
evening that is entertaining, sometimes
irreverent, and always memorable! All
Little School families, friends, and
alumni are encouraged to attend.
Money raised at the auction supports
the school's general operating budget
and provides important funding to the
Parent Association. The auction also
features a fund-an-item for financial
aid, a significant resource in raising
funds for the school's financial aid
program, and a faculty wish list,
granting faculty requests for special
equipment or experiences to enrich
their classrooms. Parent volunteers and
participants from the extended Little
School community play a crucial role in
every aspect of the auction's success.
Every current family is asked to
procure (contribute) two items for sale
in the auction - either items they
donate personally or donations they
solicit from businesses in the
community. Contributions range from
handmade items, movie, symphony, and
sports tickets to gift certificates,
baskets of goodies, weekends in
community members' vacation homes, and
unique experiences such as specially
prepared dinners or behind-the-scenes
tours of local attractions.
Contributions of all size and value are
equally appreciated and are hotly bid
upon!
The auction is a very inclusive,
community event, so whether you come
prepared to bid, or simply to share an
evening with friends, all Little School
community members are welcome.
