Our Facilities

Twelve Acre Campus

The "Little" in our name refers to the sense that a child has of being known in a familiar environment - not to the size of our facilities. Our 12-acre wooded campus, friendly classrooms, and 20,000-volume library are the ideal setting for an approach that values creativity, exploration, and discovery. Special teachers in movement and Spanish, as well as field trips for full-day classes, enrich learning and promote community and multicultural awareness. Play is understood as a valuable part of the learning process for children. Our natural environment is an exceptional resource for imaginative play and firsthand exploration of nature.

Climbing and play structures, gardens, digging areas, play courts, woods, and a big field are the setting for many student-initiated games and activities.

Classroom Buildings

Classroom buildings include the Meadows Building for younger children and the Woods Building for older children. Classrooms are cozy and casual, giving children easy mobility and a sense of homeyness and community. Each classroom has a door to the outside and an adjacent covered outdoor area making the outdoor environment an integral part of the children’s day. Both buildings have a large interior courtyard, which is a community gathering space and an open area for block construction, movement and drama activities, and group sing-alongs. The Woods Building observation rooms, in addition to offering parents an opportunity to see classrooms in action, are extensions of the classroom, doubling as computer work areas equipped with high-performance computers.

Library Learning Center

The Eleanor Siegl Library Learning Center houses an extensive collection of books and resources for children, technology equipment, and an adult resource library with books on education and child development. The staff lunchroom, conference rooms, an Extended Day room, and the school counselor's office are also included in this building.

Administration Buildings

The Administration Building houses the school’s administrative, admissions, and business staff. The Schoolhouse Building provides a gathering space for parents, along with offices for the Parent Association and the Learning Specialist.
