Families from all parts of the Greater Seattle area enroll their children in The Little School. The emphasis on community and on respect for individual experiences and perspectives helps to make this a welcoming environment for people from many different backgrounds.

All parents are members of The Parent Association whose officers and volunteers coordinate events and activities that strengthen community throughout the school. Little School families are generous contributors to the school’s fundraising programs and play a significant role in supporting teachers, facilities enhancement and planning for the school’s future.

The greatest contribution parents make is their commitment to the educational philosophy of the school. At no other level of education is parental support and participation more crucial to a child’s school experience than at the early childhood/elementary school age. The support and understanding of parents for this special community of teaching and learning helps create an environment in which children flourish.
