During our winter and spring break, we offer a week-long Break Camp. Families have the option of registering for the full week or specific days. Space is limited; sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis. The full schedule for both camps will be shared with our families during the fall quarter.
The days are split into two thematic sessions per age group. Campers have a three-hour morning class engaging with a morning theme (8:30-11:30 a.m.) and a one-hour lunch break, followed by another three-hour class engaging with an afternoon theme (12:30-3:30 p.m.). Snack/rest periods are held throughout the day. A schedule is implemented that includes predictable times for snack, lunch and rest/quiet time to maintain consistency with the regular school days but also allows flexibility to responsively adapt to the needs and interests of the students. All campers should arrive with their own bagged lunches and a refillable water bottle (no glass bottles). Afternoon snacks will be provided. Extended Day will be available for an additional fee from 3:30-5:00pm.
The content for each Break Camp session is based on using our campus as inspiration for engaging arts and science-related activities. Campers focus on a range of topics that emphasize active learning, exploration and, most of all, fun. All camp sessions are created with inclusive and age-appropriate activities that are tailored to the multiple ways that kids learn.
Campers enjoy a low staff to child ratio – ranging from 1:5 to 1:9, depending on age group. Instructors are part of our TLS community who are familiar with our student body and school standards.
