Hailing from around the world, each family helps us create a community of respect and belonging, laughter and connection. Families create community in countless ways. When they catch up with one another on the Big Field after school, share about their home culture, traditions and language in the classroom or come together to celebrate every student’s hard work at curricular celebrations or performances, our families help students feel the rich web of support and love that makes The Little School home.
The Parent/Guardian Association
The role of the Parent/Guardian Association is to build and strengthen our community. This important work is done in a variety of ways such as organizing school events, supporting classroom activities and recruiting and organizing volunteers to support the school. All current parents and guardians are members of the Parent/Guardian Association.
At the helm of the Parent/Guardian Association is a core group of officers who coordinate these efforts. The 2023-2024 PGA officers are:

- Appreciations Officers - Sharon Perez and Emma Lee
- Communications Officers - Mallory Dehbod and Vivian Lu
- Family Events Officers - Faye Liu and Crystal Humphries
- Service Projects Officer - Christina Kinder
- Members At Large - Nicole Makila, Amanda Keller, Kerryn Frampton and Ling Xu
Room representatives also provide valuable leadership in the Parent/Guardian Association, working to build cohesive classroom communities and assisting in both classroom and school communications. This network of support extends to the many parents and guardians who volunteer their time and skills to strengthen our community and to help make The Little School a great place for kids and their families.
