Good afternoon, TLS community,
We had a great day of planning and learning today and will be reaching out on Monday evening with details about our distance learning plans and guidance about how to make this work for your family. Making sure any screen time is purposeful and connective and designing activities that respect family schedules have been our focus. For today, we wanted you to know that we started our morning identifying our intentions for our families and students during this time. Staying connected, continuing to learn and grow, supporting one another and remembering laughter and fun in a time of uncertainty are our priorities.
Several of you are thinking about how to balance working from home or coordinating childcare with the move to distance learning. So are we. You can trust that we are being as thoughtful and intentional as possible. We want to support your child and family without overwhelming anyone.
Faculty head off to the weekend ready for some well-earned time to breathe deeply and reconnect with their families and communities. Though I know you will start thinking of questions, please wait to send them until after you receive Monday’s letters. We hope everyone in our community takes some time to restore after this week’s events. Our new adventure together starts Tuesday.
In the spirit of fun and connection, here is a link to one of today’s songs at our faculty Sing.
