Remember, the Annual Fund is different than the Campaign for a Big Future. The Annual Fund support the current year operating budget; the Campaign for a Big Future is the initiative for our campus improvements. With your help, we're building big futures at The Little School, and the Future is Now!
With Halloween coming up tomorrow, we ask that students leave costumes and candy at home. There is a tradition at The Little School for the oldest class to put together a maze for the rest of the school to crawl through on Halloween. In the planning process, the students discuss ways to make this maze fun and spooky, but not overwhelming or scary. It is an engaging and creative leadership opportunity for the oldest class and a fun tradition for the rest of the school.
We are excited to welcome the parents/guardians and guests of our 3s students to join us for Sing! If you arrive early, please remember to wait in the Meadows Center Room until Sing begins at 11:15 a.m. and to leave promptly at 11:45 a.m. to make way for the half-day dismissal process. Event-style parking will be available in the Turnaround. You can find your class' dates to attend Sing listed on the TLS website calendar.
Faculty/Staff Appreciation Lunch is happening tomorrow and we have just a few remaining spots left to volunteer. Be sure to sign up today by following the link here and registering. This is a great opportunity to show your appreciation for our faculty and staff by preparing or purchasing food and/or assisting with setup and cleanup. Food can be dropped off tomorrow morning at the Turnaround or at the Admin Building any time before 11 a.m. For questions, please email PGA Appreciations Officer Monica Cornette at email@example.com.
All Little School families are invited to the TLS Heritage Festival on Sunday, November 17 from 3-5 p.m. We will meet at Chinook Middle School, 2001 98th Ave NE in Bellevue, for this annual tradition that celebrates our school’s diversity through the sharing of our cultures, foods, clothing, music and languages.
Everyone who attends is encouraged to bring a favorite family dish that feeds 8-10 people. Many parents/guardians and children wear clothing that reflects a facet of their culture. It is exciting to see the vibrancy of our community on display!
This year's Heritage Festival will include activities for parents/guardians and children to do together and a performance and Community Sing featuring our very own students at the beginning of the event.
For questions, please email Kary Kublin.
A friendly reminder for our Meadows families that morning drop at the Turnaround closes at 9 a.m. If you arrive after 9 a.m., please park at the Administration building, sign in with Tammy at the front desk and walk your child up to class. Thank you for your help in ensuring your child's smooth transition to the day.
Take a look at the new November menu and ingredient list for Amazing Lunches, and place your order for the next few weeks in advance. If you're more of a spur-of-the-moment person, you can also place your order by 8 a.m. to have lunch delivered for your child that day. Instructions for ordering and creating an account with Amazing Lunches can always be found at https://www.thelittleschool.org/my-tls/lunch-program.
The annual hearing screening is coming up, and we are looking for volunteers to help. It will take place on Friday, November 8, and a couple of volunteers are needed from 8:30-11:30 a.m. to help the process run smoothly. If you're interested in volunteering or would like more information, please email Tammy or stop by the Admin Building.
|Fall is here! Our first graders painted gourds, working together in teams to paint and decorate them during art class.|
|Our 4th and 5th graders designed, built and taught our younger students how to play their own arcade games. It was a blast!|
