Updates and Invitations
Hi TLS Families,
It seems hard to imagine that “summer” is here. The closing of school without goodbye circles in the classroom, hugs on the Big Field, the Outgrowing and Upgrowing ceremonies or the excited sharing of summer playdate plans are another interruption in the traditional biorhythm of the school year. Though our wrap-up was different, we hope the love we feel towards your children and the appreciation we have for each of you is apparent. We just made it through a historic year. Congratulations!
We’re writing for three reasons:
Please fill out your survey! We need every family’s input to ensure we are designing thoughtful solutions for school in the fall. Here is a link (click here) to the survey. It should take less than 5 minutes to complete.
Connected Learning Focus Group Meeting: Next Tuesday, June 23 at 8p.m. We are re-designing a model of Connected Learning that will be implemented for families who intend to keep their child home until a vaccine for COVID is released. We’ll come with the ideas we’ve collected so far. Please help us shape this program. Here is a link (click here) to the meeting.
End of Year Reports: Teachers have completed end-of-year narratives for your child. This document will arrive via email this week. You’ll notice that for this reporting period, our evaluative rubrics have been replaced with academic skills that were taught over the school year.
We’ll continue to send regular updates and invitations to conversation over the summer. Please feel free to reach out anytime.
